I sit on the soft pebbles of the lakes edge, awed by the stone giants that surround me. Gazing over the mirrored lake, I see the mountains again reflected on the surface of the still water. I play with the multicolored rocks and weave them between my fingers tempted to ruin the quiet with ripples of noise. As the tiny pebbles trickle out of my hand like water beads, I resist the urge to throw them. The gentle waves mimic a cat drinking water, lapping at the shore trying to quench its own thirst. Taking one last deep breath of untainted mountain air, I held the smell of nature in my nose as I meander back through the woods.
